Job Description: NPD Lead – Chocolate & Confectionery

Lead Innovation for Two Iconic Confectionery Brands

We're looking for an experienced NPD professional with hands-on chocolate or confectionery product development experience to lead innovation across Montezuma's premium chocolate and Bristows of Devon traditional confectionery.

This is a senior role where you'll own the innovation pipeline from concept to launch, lead a small Product Development team and work cross-functionally to deliver commercially successful new products.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the NPD and innovation strategy across both brands.
  • Manage the full Stage-Gate process from concept through to commercial launch.
  • Develop new chocolate and confectionery products, overseeing trials, scale-up and manufacturing.
  • Identify consumer trends and translate insights into commercially successful products.
  • Lead and develop a small Product Development team.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Technical and Finance to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the NPD process.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
