Job Title: NPD & Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
Location: Head Office, Coatbridge
Reports to: Interim Head of Marketing & Innovation
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (13 Months)
The Company
The GlenAllachie Distillers Company is one of the few independently owned and managed Scotch whisky producers in Scotland. Under the leadership of renowned Master Blender Billy Walker, our portfolio includes The GlenAllachie single malt, MacNair’s Lum Reek blended malt, MacNair’s Exploration Rum, and White Heather blended Scotch.
We're looking for an organised and proactive Marketing & NPD Coordinator to support the successful delivery of new product development projects whilst providing wider marketing support across our growing portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across product innovation, packaging development and brand marketing, gaining exposure to every stage of the product development process.
About the Role
Working closely with the Interim Head of Marketing & Innovation, you'll coordinate the day-to-day delivery of New Product Development projects, ensuring products move efficiently from concept through to launch.
You'll play a key role in coordinating artwork, managing project timelines, liaising with suppliers and supporting product launches across our portfolio.
Alongside New Product Development, you'll also provide wider marketing support where required, assisting with launch materials and campaign activity.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Development
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of the NPD lifecycle for core range products, annual launches, batch releases and customer-exclusive projects.
- Manage the NPD lifecycle for the monthly Single Cask programme.
- Maintain project plans, critical paths and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Support the successful delivery of product development from concept through to production.

Artwork & Packaging
- Coordinate artwork development across all NPD projects.
- Manage artwork amendments, proofing and approval processes.
- Coordinate press passes and final artwork approvals.
- Liaise with designers, printers and packaging suppliers.
- Maintain artwork records and version control.
- Ensure artwork deadlines are achieved.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with packaging suppliers.
- Research new suppliers and innovative packaging solutions.
- Coordinate samples and supplier communications.
- Support supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Product Development
- Support the Interim Head of Marketing & Innovations with premium product development projects.
- Research market trends, competitor activity and consumer preferences.
- Assist with product mock-ups and marketing materials.
- Support concept development and product storytelling.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with Procurement and the Bottling & Quality Coordinator to ensure products comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate supplier documentation required for new products.
- Support cross-functional project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the NPD process.

Marketing Support
- Assist with product launch materials and marketing materials.
- Support campaign implementation for new product launches.
- Assist with sales support materials and customer presentations.
- Provide wider marketing support across campaigns and business projects during busy periods.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, enjoys managing multiple projects and has a genuine interest in bringing new products to market.
You'll ideally have:
- 1+ year experience in a NPD, project coordination or product development role.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating artwork or packaging projects would be advantageous.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva would be beneficial.
- FMCG, premium consumer goods or drinks industry experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work across multiple departments.
