Harrison-Drury is a market-leading firm of solicitors with offices in Lancashire, Cumbria, and Staffordshire. We’re delighted to be named one of the UK’s Best Companies to work for, for the third-year running, placing at number 40 in the Top 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to work for list. We also ranked 10th in the Best Companies to work for in the Law sector — achievements that reflect our commitment to creating a supportive, people-focused workplace.

We challenge the conventional law-firm approach and focus our energy on achieving outstanding results for our clients while attracting, developing, and empowering brilliant people.

We are now looking to recruit an NQ – 3 years PQE Private Client Solicitor to join and help grow our Stoke office, working directly with Jennifer Couchman, Head of Private Client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ambitious, client-focused, and keen to develop within a growing team and office environment.

The Opportunity

You will manage your own matters while also supporting senior fee earners, trainees, and administrative colleagues. This role offers genuine scope for progression, hands-on development, and the chance to help shape and grow our Private Client offering in Stoke.

You will work closely with Jennifer, gaining exposure to high-quality work, strong client relationships, and a collaborative team culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
