An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a highly regarded and specialist team supporting clients and their families across Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters.
This is a great opportunity for an NQ to 2PQE Solicitor with previous Court of Protection experience, looking to develop their career within a close-knit and supportive specialist team. The role would suit either a newly qualified Solicitor taking their first step post-qualification or a junior Associate seeking a move into a dedicated Court of Protection practice.
The Opportunity
You'll work as part of a specialist Court of Protection team providing professional deputyship services for clients who lack the mental capacity to manage their own damages and compensation awards.
Your workload is likely to include:
- Providing professional deputyship services for clients lacking capacity
- Supporting clients and their families in managing damages and compensation awards
- Advising on Court of Protection matters and applying relevant legal and ethical principles
- Working closely with clients, families, experts, and other professional advisers
- Managing sensitive situations and difficult conversations with care and professionalism
- Conducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice
- Managing a varied caseload and working effectively to deadlines
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams

About You
- NQ to 2PQE Solicitor
- Previous Court of Protection experience is essential
- Strong understanding of relevant legal and ethical principles
- Sensitive and confident approach when dealing with clients, families, and experts
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Comfortable managing a complex workload and working to tight deadlines
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
- Committed to equality, access to justice, and delivering high-quality legal advice
