Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive – Family Law

Location: Liverpool

Salary: Competitive

PQE: NQ – 2 Years PQE

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with NQ to 2 years’ PQE to join a highly regarded specialist family law team in Liverpool.

This role would suit a junior family lawyer who has gained experience during their training contract or early post-qualification career and is now looking to develop their expertise within a supportive and high-quality environment.

You will have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload of private family law matters, with appropriate supervision, mentoring, and training as your experience and confidence develop.

The successful candidate will undertake fee-earning work appropriate to their level of qualification, with exposure to a broad range of private family matters, including:

You will also be expected to contribute to business development and networking activity, maintain accurate file records, and ensure compliance with relevant AML, data protection, and confidentiality requirements.

The role will involve working both independently and as part of a wider team, with the ability to prioritize workloads, manage deadlines, and seek support when required.

About You

We are looking for a positive, personable, and motivated individual who is keen to build a long-term career in family law.

You will ideally have:

  • NQ to 2 years’ PQE, or equivalent experience as a Chartered Legal Executive
  • Previous experience within private family law
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills
  • Strong IT and practical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A flexible and proactive approach
  • A genuine interest in developing your career within a specialist family law environment
