Sizewell C is seeking a Nuclear Compliance Senior Lead to provide functional oversight, assurance and challenge on Nuclear Site Licence (NSL) compliance across the project.

Reporting to the Regulatory & Licensing Manager within the Safety, Security & Assurance Directorate, you will play a key role in ensuring licence conditions are correctly interpreted, embedded and delivered across the organisation. Working closely with delivery teams, contractors, partners and regulators, you'll lead assurance activities, identify emerging risks, support regulatory confidence and drive continuous improvement in nuclear safety and compliance performance. This is an excellent opportunity to influence nuclear governance at a major UK infrastructure project while providing expert regulatory insight and leadership across the business.

  • Maintain effective engagement with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), providing evidence-based insight and supporting a proportionate regulatory relationship.
  • Review and challenge nuclear safety compliance arrangements, delivery strategies and business inputs to ensure NSL requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and continually improve the NSL assurance programme, including reviews, thematic assessments and self-assessments.
  • Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks, weaknesses and emerging trends, supporting the development of effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory expectations, industry good practice and nuclear compliance requirements to support project decision-making.
  • Review contractor and partner compliance arrangements to ensure alignment with Sizewell C standards and expectations.
  • Deliver coaching, mentoring and awareness activities to strengthen understanding of nuclear safety principles and NSL obligations across the project.
  • Monitor and verify the completion and effectiveness of corrective actions arising from compliance findings.
  • Provide regulatory and compliance insight to senior leadership, supporting continuous improvement and sustained regulatory confidence.
  • Lead and manage contractors and/or Sizewell C personnel, and oversee deliverables provided by supply chain partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
