Nuclear Infrastructure Project Managers | Relocate to Australia | Expression of Interest

Join one of the world's leading nuclear consultancies and help establish Australia's future naval nuclear capability through the AUKUS partnership. Mott MacDonald is a vibrant and forward-thinking engineering, management and development consultancy. We employ more than 800 nuclear professionals globally, supporting clients across defence nuclear, civil nuclear, fusion, decommissioning, waste management and major infrastructure programmes.

As Australia develops a sovereign naval nuclear capability, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced UK Nuclear Infrastructure Project Managers interested in relocating to Australia and contributing to one of the most significant nuclear programmes in the world.

Shape Australia's Nuclear Future

Lead the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure, engineering and nuclear programmes supporting Australia's future naval nuclear capability.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Nuclear Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure, engineering, design and safety-related programmes that will help establish the foundations of Australia's emerging naval nuclear enterprise. Working alongside specialists from Australia, the United Kingdom and across our global business, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive successful project outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your project leadership experience to once-in-a-generation programmes while helping shape the future of Australia's nuclear capability.

Join one of Australia's most significant defence and nuclear programmes supporting the delivery of the AUKUS partnership and Australia's future naval nuclear capability.

  • Lead the delivery of complex infrastructure, engineering, design or nuclear safety programmes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, safety specialists, contractors and client stakeholders.

  • Manage technical, commercial and delivery interfaces across complex programmes.
  • Oversee the delivery of engineering and design outputs in accordance with project requirements.
  • Where required, manage the delivery of nuclear safety case programmes, including planning, coordination and assurance of safety-related activities.
  • Support engagement with clients, regulators, contractors and supply chain partners.
  • Identify, manage and escalate project risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Support procurement, contracting and delivery strategy development.
  • Contribute to capability development, mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
