Number 1 Race Technician
Insight Talent Partners is currently supporting a championship-winning Motorsport team specialising in diesel race cars, performance vehicles, track cars and R&D projects who have built a strong reputation as one of the UK's leading specialists in diesel performance, with a growing portfolio of Motorsport, track and development projects.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role covering race car preparation, maintenance, diagnostics, setup and development, alongside the build and development of performance and project vehicles. You will take responsibility for ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard, reliable and ready for testing and competition. You'll also be involved in diagnosing issues, developing vehicles and working with the wider team to improve performance. The role would suit an experienced technician who wants to spend their time working on interesting, technically demanding vehicles rather than routine workshop work. This role would suit an experienced Technician who is looking for less international travel that would like to share their Technical skills and mentor a team. This role is full time, and applicants must be available for track weekends, therefore flexibility is required. Late nights and weekend work might also be required when working to tight deadlines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
