Job Description Summary:
The Nurse Administrator I position is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of nursing units/hospitals by providing direction for patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments.
Responsibilities And Duties:
- 50% Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.
- 15% Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.
- 15% Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).
- 10% Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
- 10% Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required)
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
Additional Job Description:
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Field of Study: Nursing
- Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years
- Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS Certified
- Specialized Knowledge in related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills
