Role Description

This full-time Nurse role is an on-site position based in Huntingdon. The nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Daily responsibilities include:

The nurse will participate in care planning, respond to changes in patient conditions, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient outcomes. The role also involves maintaining professional licensure, engaging in ongoing training, and supporting a respectful, inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

  • Active nursing qualification and registration (e.g., RN or equivalent) and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Previous clinical experience in hospital, clinic, or community care settings; experience in acute care, long-term care, or specialized departments is an advantage.
  • Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and care planning abilities, including safe medication administration and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on empathy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow clinical guidelines, health and safety standards, and infection control procedures, including accurate record-keeping and use of electronic health systems.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm and professional in urgent or stressful situations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.
