An opportunity has risen to join Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist Team on a fixed 12-month term.

The role is ideal for a (British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology) BSCCP-accredited practitioner who is keen to further develop their expertise in colposcopy and women's health within a dedicated and experienced team.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold full BSCCP accreditation, have experience in gynaecology and/or women's health. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be motivated, flexible and able to work both independently and part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to work collaboratively with clinicians and administrative staff and fellow gynaecology nurses.

You will be joining a supportive and highly experienced team committed to delivering high-quality colposcopy services and patient centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality assessment, diagnostic examination for women referred to the colposcopy service without direct medical supervision/independently but in accordance with local and BSCCP National Guidelines.
• Act as a resource for women referred and clinical and administrative teams by provision of comprehensive advice, information, teaching within ICHT.
• To act as a resource for patients, GP's and colleagues with ICHT via telephone and email advice line.
• Review patient diagnostic laboratory results, interpreting and actioning clinician instructions.
• Contribute to formulating reports and clinical audit of own practice, service and outcomes.
• Active involvement in the development of the Gynaecology service.
• Active involvement in improving patient pathway and experience.
