Nurse Consultant (Cardiology) (Ref: 255356)

Substantive

Full Time 36 hours per week

Band 8A - Salary Range £65,125 - £70,303 per annum

Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum

Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available

We are seeking a motivated, highly experienced cardiology nurse, to lead, influence and deliver our cardiac services across NHS Shetland. The post is based in secondary care outreaching to Primary Care.

As the Nurse Consultant, you will lead the cardiac nursing team, whilst ensuring that safe and effective evidence-based, person-centred cardiac care is delivered, which will include the delivery of heart failure nurse-led clinics, the delivery of cardiac rehabilitation, whilst supporting the cardioversion service.

The post holder will receive full support from the Consultant Cardiologist (Locum) and Chief Nurse for Acute and Specialist Services and will be given the opportunity to develop/expand their skills and knowledge base to an advanced level, essential for the role.
