About the Role
The postholder will provide senior professional strategic leadership for Children and Young People (CYP) services delivered Trust wide. Using the four pillars of clinical excellence, education, leadership, and research, they will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate care for children, young people, and their families.
- Lead on improving quality and outcomes for CYP in the acute and community setting, ensuring the operational delivery and performance in line with Trust standards of care and National targets/agendas for CYP.
- Be a subject matter expert who provides clinical leadership with excellent communication systems in place internally, externally on a local, regional, and national platform.
- Act as the senior nursing representative for CYP services, providing clinical and strategic leadership for CYP nursing across the Trust.
- Lead the implementation of the CYP Nursing Strategy and CYP Transformation Plan, championing the CYP agenda and providing assurance on quality, safety, and performance.
- Work strategically in partnership with other local NHS organisations, non-NHS organisations, the Local Authorities, with independent contractors, and the public to facilitate the implementation of best practice in relation to CYP.
