Registered General Nurse (RGN) – Permanent Day Position
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £22 per hour
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time – Day Shifts/ 37.5 Hours
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) looking for a permanent day-shift opportunity?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed RGN to join a friendly and professional care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and making a genuine difference to the lives of those they support.
About the Role
As a Registered General Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care. You will work closely with residents, families and the wider care team to ensure individual care needs are met and the highest standards of care are maintained.

- Providing high-quality nursing care to residents.
- Administering medication safely and accurately.
- Completing clinical assessments and monitoring residents' health and wellbeing.
- Developing, implementing and reviewing individual care plans.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Liaising with GPs, healthcare professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Supporting and mentoring care staff where required.
- Responding appropriately to changes in residents' health and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Promoting dignity, independence and choice at all times.
- Ensuring all care is delivered in line with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is:
- RGN qualified and currently registered with the NMC.
- Experienced within a care home, nursing home or similar setting.
- Passionate about delivering person-centred care.
- Confident in clinical decision-making and assessing residents' needs.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, compassionate and professional.
- Comfortable working as part of a wider care and nursing team.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.
