Substance Misuse Prescribing Nurse
Substance misuse prescribing nurse, providing access to medications that both manage withdrawal from substances of abuse and offer Detox in clinical setting or domiciliary setting.
- Encourage Service Users to work towards recovery whilst maintaining stability.
- Promote engagement with treatment plans and offer access to treatment promoting an every contact counts approach.
- Provide management support for lower grades, supervision and appraisal.
- Encourage long term condition compliance.
- Providing substitute prescribing for dependency and recovery
- Relapse prevention prescribing
- Community detoxes
- BBV testing and vaccination
- Health and wellbeing assessments and promotion of long term conditions
- Promotion of recovery
