About the Role

We are looking to appoint a Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Practitioner who brings innovation, specialist skills, and enthusiasm to lead the nursing element of our Paediatric Epilepsy Service. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Specialist Paediatric Nursing Team and will be supported to provide visible leadership and effective management to the epilepsy team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, CYP centred care.

This role requires close collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive, coordinated, and effective approaches across the service. The post holder will champion quality improvement initiatives and demonstrate a clear commitment to promoting and embedding our Trust values within everyday practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the vision and values of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those values in their leadership behaviours and how we support our teams and deliver our services.
  • Provide highly specialist advice and able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Act as lead specialist in a defined area.
  • Provide specialist education and training to staff, students, carers and patients.
  • Undertake research and leads clinical audits in own specialist area.
