Urgent Treatment Centre Team Leader

We are a very busy Emergency Department, treating on average 75,000 patients a year. We are looking for a Band 6 Urgent Treatment Centre Team Leader to join our proactive and dynamic team.

About You

You will be a highly skilled and accomplished Health Care Professional, well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development. You will support the Urgent Care Leadership team in maintaining efficient, effective, safe delivery of patient care. You will work closely with and build relationships with the UTC GP, Emergency Paediatric Nursing Team, Emergency Care Practitioners, Triage, and Streaming healthcare professionals.

We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship, and clinical supervision within the Clinical Unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff.

Team working and leadership are an integral part of the Unit, and all staff are enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.

The Role

The successful candidate at Band 6 will be able to demonstrate that they can manage a dedicated team to deliver care of the highest standards to our patients, while working under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Urgent Care division in maintaining efficient, effective, safe delivery of patient care, within an environment that promotes a responsive approach to changing Healthcare needs.
  • Assessing and delivering care needs to patients coming into urgent care and streaming to pathways within the trust and community services.
  • Assisting with the heavy flow of patients coming into Urgent care.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 18 months post-qualification experience in an urgent care setting is desirable, as is evidence of Post Registration education.
  • Potential candidates should also have undertaken their Mentorship.
