Job Description

Nursery Activity Leader – Breakfast & After School Club

📍 Location: Christchurch, Bradford-on-Avon, BA15 1ST

💷 Pay: £10.85–£12.71 per hour (depending on age and experience)

📄 Contract: Term Time Only

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday

Working Hours:

  • Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 9:00am
  • After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Total: 22.5 hours per week

Do you have a passion for working with young children and creating fun, engaging experiences every day?

At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Activity Leader to join our Breakfast & After School Club at Christchurch, Bradford-on-Avon.

Working with children aged 3–4 years, you'll help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels happy, supported and encouraged to explore, play and develop through exciting activities.

This is a split-shift role, working mornings and afternoons with a break in the middle of the day—ideal if you're looking for a role that fits around family life, study or other commitments.

There are also opportunities to work additional hours during our Holiday Clubs with older children aged 4-11 yrs if desired.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities including creative play, arts & crafts, storytelling, games, music and outdoor play.
  • Create a warm, safe and welcoming environment where children can learn and develop through play.
  • Supervise children throughout each session, ensuring they are happy, engaged and supported.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and refreshments.
  • Complete daily registers and ensure children are safely signed in and out.
  • Set up and tidy away equipment before and after each session.
  • Work closely with your team to deliver high-quality childcare.
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company policies at all times.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Is caring, patient, enthusiastic and full of energy.
  • Can create engaging and imaginative play experiences.
  • Is reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has experience working with children, ideally aged 3–4 years, in childcare, education, nursery, playwork or a similar environment.

A specific Early Years qualification is not essential for this role. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience working with young children who are passionate about creating positive and enriching experiences.
