We are a friendly nursery looking for a L3 Nursery Apprentice to join our team. You would be working and interacting directly with children on a day-to-day basis, supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to a high-quality caring environment for children.
- Create a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally.
- Under supervision, provide all aspects of care for children, including washing, changing and feeding.
- Act as a key worker to a small group of children, recording observations and planning for them.
- Assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Be aware of the nursery's policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to.
- Complete all work to the desired timescales.
- Recognise when a child or colleague is in danger or at risk of abuse and act to protect them.
- Apply legislation, policy and procedure to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of children.
- Apply the principles of risk assessment and risk management.
- Teach children to develop skills to manage risk and maintain their own and others' safety.
- Use a range of communication methods, including technology, with other professionals.
- Develop and maintain effective professional, collaborative relationships.
- Undertake the role and responsibilities of key person.
- Recognise and apply theories of attachment.
- Provide sensitive and respectful personal care for children from birth to 5 years.
- Advocate for all children’s needs, including those requiring SEND or EAL support.
- Promote and facilitate interpersonal communication to develop social interactions and relationships.
- Support children to develop a positive sense of their own identity and culture.
- Support children to understand and respond to their emotions and make considered choices.
- Assess the responsiveness of the environment for effective child-centred experiences.
- Create inclusive, child-centred, dynamic, innovative, and evolving physical environments.
- Create inclusive and supportive emotional environments.
- Apply strategies that support children’s ability to manage change, transition, and significant events.
- Analyse observation evidence to assess and plan holistic individual learning.
- Facilitate and support child-centred opportunities and experiences.
- Provide adult-led opportunities and experiences.
- Use reflection to develop professionally and personally.

- Wage: £16,640 for the first year, potentially increasing based on age.
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
