YMCA Heart of England

YMCA Heart of England are looking for a Nursery Apprentice Level 3 to join our team on a full time, fixed term contract for 18 months. You will be based predominantly in Solihull, Birmingham. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £17,700.80 per annum.

At YMCA Heart of England, we have over 100 employees working across multiple sites in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire, who are all committed to delivering our mission, to inspire young people to discover their potential so that they can live life in all its fullness. We provide accommodation for more than 340 young people, many of whom have experienced homelessness, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also run a children’s nursery and deliver youth work in areas of high need, manage two community centres with conferencing facilities and deliver a range of business to business training, all of which create employment opportunities and deliver income for our charitable work.

About the Nursery Apprentice Level 3 role:

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Nursery Apprentice to join our team based in YMCA Shirley Day Nursery, Solihull. The successful candidate will join us on an 18 month’s contract working 40 hours per week and salary will be in line with Government’s Apprenticeship rate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with a passion to start a career in childcare.

What we are looking for in our Nursery Apprentice Level 3:

The successful candidate will be working as part of the nursery team to provide supervision of young children whilst aiding their development socially, physically and emotionally. Building on individual knowledge of all aspects of nursery care and of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework whilst completing a Level 3 in an Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship. You should also have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.
