Nursery Assistant
Dicky Birds Nursery and Preschool, Durham Road, Raynes Park

Salary £22,500 - £26,437 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Dicky Birds Nursery and Preschool on Durham Road in Raynes Park is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will play an important role in supporting the children and wider nursery team, helping to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive.

The nursery has a spacious garden and growing garden, giving children plenty of opportunities for outdoor play, exploring nature and developing their confidence through hands-on experiences.
Location and Travel
Dicky Birds Durham Road is conveniently located close to Raynes Park Train Station and nearby bus stops, making it easily accessible by public transport.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Support the team in providing high-quality care for the children
- Help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment
- Support children's learning and development through play and activities
- Help prepare and set up engaging activities
- Encourage children's curiosity, confidence and independence
- Build positive relationships with children and their families
- Support daily routines including mealtimes, personal care and sleep routines
- Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming nursery environment
- Work as part of a supportive and dedicated nursery team
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety
- Support the nursery's curriculum and daily activities
- Contribute to creating positive experiences for every child

What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and develop within an early years environment
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Previous experience working with children would be beneficial, but we are keen to hear from people who are enthusiastic about starting a career in early years
