Nursery Assistant (Level 3) - Stanmore
£27,500 - £27,900 per year | Full-time, permanent | 40 hours per week
Lumora Recruitment is working with a warm, family-run day nursery in Stanmore to appoint an experienced Room Leader. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
About the role
As Room Leader you will take day-to-day responsibility for your room and the team within it, planning and delivering activities in line with the EYFS framework and supporting each child's learning and development. You will act as key person to a group of children, maintain accurate observations and progress records, and build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers.

You will also mentor and support the practitioners in your room, helping them develop their own practice, and ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times.
What we're looking for
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or above)
- Previous experience as a nursery assistant in a UK nursery or day care setting
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements
- Confident leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for early years education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
