Our Old Barn Nursery in Narborough, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis as a lunch cover. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity, and helping them thrive every day.
Weekly hours are 16 hrs per week in the middle part of the day Monday-Friday

Fantastic Outdoor Space
Our outdoor environment is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of all age groups. Babies benefit from a dedicated garden space where they can explore safely, while our under 2’s area includes tunnels and stimulating resources to encourage curiosity and movement. Older children enjoy a spacious garden designed for adventure, with features such as a climbing frame, ropes, balance activities, and obstacle courses to build confidence and physical skills. The garden also includes a growing area and mud kitchen to inspire creativity and foster a connection with nature.
Location
Located in Narborough, Leicestershire, our nursery sits at Copt Oak Court in a convenient position next to Tesco Express and directly opposite Red Hill Field Primary School. With a large park just across the road and Narborough Station nearby, the nursery is easily accessible for local and commuting families alike.
What you will be doing
- Supervise and support children at all times
- Your working hours will be over the lunchtime period so supporting with their mealtimes and offering additional support where required
- Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified practitioners
- Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for the children
- Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors, and colleagues
- Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings, and undertake training as required
