Job Title: Nursery Assistant Practitioner

Location: Oakfields Prep, Harwood Hall Lane, RM14 2YG

Salary: Up to £21,500 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term Time

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our fantastic team.

Role Purpose

We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our welcoming Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children during the most important stage of their development.

Every day is different as you help create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children aged 2-5 can build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a love of learning through play. Working closely with colleagues and families, you'll play a key role in supporting each child's individual journey and helping them reach their full potential.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day care, learning, and development of children aged 2-5 years.
  • Creating engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Building positive and nurturing relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Encouraging children's independence, confidence, and social development.
  • Supporting indoor and outdoor learning activities.
  • Observing and monitoring children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare at all times.
  • Contributing to planning activities, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

What You Will Bring

  • Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification required.
  • Has experience working with children aged 2-5 years within an EYFS setting.
  • Is warm, patient, caring, and passionate about Early Years education.
  • Can build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification desired.
  • Additional Early Years training or qualifications desired.
