Nursery Assistant

15 hours per week

Salary: £10.85 per hour

We are currently seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our team in our Baby Room. This part-time role requires working 15 hours per week. Please note, this is a year-round position, as the nursery operates throughout the year and is not term-time only.

Responsibilities:

As Nursery Assistant, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times
  • Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
  • Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
  • Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
  • Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development
