Small People

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Perm | 15 hours per week | Monday – Friday - We can be flexible with either working during the evenings (18:00pm - 20:00pm) or hours in the morning - to be discussed

Location: Nottingham

Small People Nursery is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper to support our busy childcare team in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our children.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a supportive nursery team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all nursery areas are cleaned and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, helping create a safe and hygienic space where children can learn and play.

This position involves evening working and key holder responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential

Requirements

  • Carry out daily cleaning across the nursery including classrooms, bathrooms, corridors and staff areas
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with nursery hygiene procedures
  • Clean toilets, sinks and changing areas and dispose of waste appropriately
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to management
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning products
  • Ensure the nursery is safe, hygienic and prepared for the following day
  • Lock and secure the premises as part of key holder responsibilities
