Nursery Food Champion & Housekeeper
David Lloyd Leisure, Hull Road, York, YO10 3LG
20-30 hours a week, Monday to Friday (we are open to part-time and full-time applicants)

The tasty lunch that gets clean plates, the fresh bedding at nap time, the bright, spotless playroom ready for the next adventure. We're looking for that someone! 🙌
This is a unique two-in-one role. As our Food Champion, you'll turn our kitchen into a place where care, creativity and good nutrition come together. As our Housekeeper, you'll keep our nursery safe, cosy and welcoming for the little explorers who play, learn and grow with us every day.

What you'll be doing
In the kitchen
- 🍲 Serving delicious, balanced meals that children love and parents trust, following our nutritional guidance for under-fives
- 🥜 Confidently managing a range of dietary needs and allergies, so every child eats safely and happily
- 🧼 Running a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen that always meets food hygiene and health & safety standards

You'll be a great fit if you:
- 🔍 Take real pride in your work and have a sharp eye for detail
- 🙋 Are happy working on your own initiative but love being part of a friendly team
- 🗓️ Are organised and like to plan ahead
- 🎓 Hold a Food Hygiene qualification or are keen to work towards one (we'll support you!)
- 🦺 Know the basics of health & safety and hygiene, or are eager to learn
- 💬 Communicate clearly with colleagues and managers about schedules, supplies and any maintenance needs
- 😊 Bring a positive attitude, a caring nature and a genuine love for working around children
