Company Description
The Bath Nursery Company operates three nurseries across Bath and London, providing high-quality childcare and early years education to local families. The team is made up of professional, passionate nursery staff who are committed to creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments for children.
Following an internal promotion, we are now recruiting for a Nursery Manager at our Combe Down Nursery and would welcome CVs from experienced candidates.

This is a hands-on leadership role and we are specifically looking for candidates who are confident working alongside their team within the nursery environment rather than operating primarily from an office.
Key Priorities for the Role
- Leading and developing a strong, reflective staff team through coaching and professional development
- Driving high-quality, child-centred care and education across the setting
- Supporting marketing and enrolment activity to ensure sustainable business growth
- Developing strong, positive partnerships with parents and families
- Embedding a transparent safeguarding culture that is visible in everyday practice
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Operational Context
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for the overall quality of practice within the setting and for ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework. While the role requires knowledge of operational aspects such as safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance, the nursery has a Finance Director responsible for financial management and a senior management team, including a regional SENDCo, that supports wider operational functions. This is a hands-on leadership role. We are seeking a manager who enjoys working alongside their team in the nursery environment and supporting practitioners in delivering outstanding care and education.
