Role Description
The Nursery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-quality environment for children and staff. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hornsea and involves overseeing staffing, room organisation, and daily routines, as well as maintaining high standards of care and education in line with relevant frameworks and regulations.

Responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the team through supervision, mentoring, and training.
- Managing operational tasks such as scheduling, resource allocation, and record-keeping.
- Ensuring robust safeguarding practices.
- Liaising with external agencies where necessary.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with families.
- Providing regular feedback on children’s progress.
- Representing the nursery within the local community.

Qualifications
- Strong safeguarding knowledge, including Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children, with a clear understanding of policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in Nursery and Nursery Management, including leading teams in an early years setting and managing daily operations.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, staff, and external partners.
- Relevant childcare or early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of early years frameworks, child development, and inclusive practice.
- Proven ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records in a busy environment.
- Experience with health and safety, risk assessment, and compliance in a childcare setting.
- Leadership skills, including team motivation, conflict resolution, and performance management.
