Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum DOE
Flexible working options: 40 hours over 4 days
Contract: Maternity cover for 12 months - Potential for a permanent position at the end of the contract in one of our other centres, subject to business needs and available vacancies. Permanent employment is not guaranteed.

Montessori is a method of education based around the Montessori theory of self-directed learning, independent exploration, and collaborative play. Within Montessori early learning environments, children are given a variety of choices in their learning, allowing them to explore and develop their knowledge of the world and develop to their full potential.
About The Role
This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery, including quality of education, staff leadership, safeguarding, and operational performance.

About Our Nursery
Montessori by Busy Bees London Harrow Marlborough Hill, rated Good by Ofsted, has a capacity of 96 children and is dedicated to providing education that fosters success in all aspects of life. Our nursery seamlessly combines the Early Years Foundation Stage with the Montessori Curriculum, offering a holistic approach to early childhood education. Conveniently located in North Harrow, we are less than a two-minute walk from Harrow and Wealdstone tube and train station, ensuring easy access for families. We also provide complimentary lunches for our children, enhancing their overall experience in our nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver outstanding early years provision
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory standards
- Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and outcomes for children
- Manage staffing, recruitment, performance, and development
- Build strong relationships with families and the local community
- Work closely with regional leadership to deliver quality and occupancy targets
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in a high-quality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- A track record of improving outcomes and maintaining high standards
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider leadership structure
- A child-centred approach with high expectations for quality
Qualifications And Experience
- NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip in Childcare, or NVQ Level 3.
- Experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A focus on delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
- Montessori qualification is desirable but not essential
