Nursery Manager
Wimbledon, London | £45,510 - £59,530 + Bonus + Benefits
We are recruiting for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a large nursery setting in Wimbledon. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a setting, develop their team, drive quality, and make a measurable impact.
About the Nursery
The nursery was rated Good by Ofsted in August 2023 and offers an excellent environment for children, with:
- Dedicated children's kitchen
- Dedicated ICT room
- Four large individual outdoor learning areas
- Employee car park
The setting is also just eight minutes' walk from Wimbledon Station and South Wimbledon Tube Station, making it easily accessible for staff and families.
The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will have responsibility for the overall performance of the setting, including:
- Leading, developing, and retaining your team
- Building a positive culture and strong employee engagement
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and regulatory compliance
- Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Driving quality improvement and high-quality Early Years practice
- Preparing your team for Ofsted and building their confidence in articulating their practice
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers
- Supporting recruitment and developing future leaders
- Driving occupancy and FTE growth
- Managing staffing, costs, and commercial performance
- Working closely with your Regional Director and wider support teams

About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous Nursery Manager or senior Early Years management experience
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted
- Recent Ofsted inspection experience
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Experience driving quality improvement
- A good understanding of Early Years practice
- A relevant Early Years qualification
