About This Role

Do you enjoy working with children and want to see them reach their full potential? St Marys is looking for a Nursery Manager to join our fantastic school based in the heart of Fairford.

At St Mary's school, we are proud of our good OFSTED rating (2025) and our Good SIAMS rating (2026). We are confident that at St Mary's you will find a community where standards of behaviour and respect for others are given a high priority, where every child is encouraged to strive to achieve their best in an environment where children are happy and eager to learn.

The Nursery Manager role within St Marys school is of key importance. You will be responsible for providing the children and teaching staff with the support they need to Shine as Lights in the World.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the nursery, maintaining excellent standards of provision, safeguarding, and compliance, and fostering a positive, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children and staff. Thriving in a close-knit team, the Nursery Manager will act as a role model, leading by example, communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues, children, and families. They must embody our commitment to every child's individual needs, ensuring they thrive and achieve their full potential in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the expectations of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework, whilst promoting our Christian vision and values alongside the ethos of the school.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
