Role – Nursery Manager

Location – Portsmouth

Salary - £32K-£44K + benefits

Type – Full Time

Myn has just signed a partnership agreement with one of the leading operators of nurseries across the UK.

We are now hiring for Nursery Managers for multiple locations across Portsmouth.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining children’s records, ordering equipment, maintaining inventories, and keeping personnel records.
  • Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications.
  • Agree and deliver occupancy targets.
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately.
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience working as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Nursery Manager.
  • 4 years’ experience working in an early year setting.
  • Diploma or Degree in Early Years Education.
  • Qualified in Paediatric First Aid and Child Protection.
  • An enhanced DBS check.
  • Fluent English.
