Role Description
The Nursery Manager (Term Time Salary up to 33k) will lead the day-to-day operations of a nursery setting in the London Area, United Kingdom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This full-time, on-site role involves:
- Overseeing curriculum planning
- Supporting staff with high-quality early years practice
- Maintaining compliance with relevant safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards
- Managing staffing rotas
- Supervising performance
- Coordinating professional development to maintain consistent service quality

Collaboration with Action Staffing LTD and local stakeholders is expected to ensure the nursery remains fully resourced and operates effectively throughout term time.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Nursery and Nursery Management, including oversight of daily operations, curriculum delivery, and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children practices, with the ability to implement and monitor policies in line with UK regulatory standards.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, staff, external agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare) and understanding of EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience leading a team in an early years setting, including performance management, mentoring, and supporting ongoing professional development.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping, rota planning, and handling admissions and enrolment processes.
- Commitment to inclusive, child-centered practice and continuous improvement in quality of care and learning.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to complete enhanced DBS checks and any required safer recruitment vetting.
