Help young children build the confidence, language and curiosity that will support them throughout school.
Transparency Education is looking for a nurturing and knowledgeable Nursery Nurse to join an early-years team in Lewisham. You will help create a stimulating environment in which children can learn through play, develop positive relationships and become increasingly independent.
This Nursery Nurse role offers a consistent placement and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to children’s development throughout the academic term.
Your responsibilities
- Plan and lead purposeful play and adult-led learning activities.
- Support children’s communication, physical, social and emotional development.
- Observe children and contribute to accurate learning records.
- Help maintain an engaging, inclusive and well-organised environment.
- Support children with personal care sensitively and respectfully.
- Build professional relationships with parents and carers.
- Identify and report welfare or developmental concerns appropriately.
- Follow EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety procedures.

What we are looking for
The appointed Nursery Nurse will ideally have:
- A recognised Level 3 early-years or childcare qualification.
- Recent experience in a nursery, preschool or school-based EYFS setting.
- A good practical understanding of child development and learning through play.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- A caring, dependable and organised approach.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs would be welcomed.
