Located in Kirkby, the nursery offers age-appropriate programs that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Nursery Nurse role based in Kirkby, Knowsley.

The Nursery Practitioner will support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development through play. Daily responsibilities include:

The role involves following safeguarding procedures, observing and recording children’s progress, communicating effectively with parents and caregivers, and working as part of a collaborative team to uphold nursery policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong experience in nursery and early years settings, with knowledge of age-appropriate care and education.
  • Candidates should possess nursing or childcare-related skills, including basic child health and wellbeing awareness.
  • Candidates should possess safeguarding skills, with a clear understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Candidates should possess creativity skills to design and deliver engaging activities that support learning through play.
  • Candidates should possess experience working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and positive behavior management.
  • Relevant childcare or early years qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Up-to-date enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one, and adherence to all regulatory and nursery policies.
