Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Are you an experienced Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3) looking to join a creative, supportive and forward-thinking Primary School?
A fantastic Primary School in the Borough of Brent is looking to appoint a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join their successful Early Years team. The school has built a strong reputation for creating a warm, engaging and highly creative learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, communicate and develop confidence from the very beginning of their education.
As a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3), you will work closely with Class Teachers, Early Years Practitioners and support staff to deliver high-quality provision across Nursery and Reception.
The school is also keen to support ambitious staff with their long-term development, making this a brilliant opportunity for a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3) who may be considering Teacher Training in the future.
What will you be doing as a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3)?
- Supporting children across Nursery and Reception on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis
- Delivering Phonics, Reading, Writing, Spelling and early Maths activities
- Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through creative, practical and play-based learning
- Leading targeted interventions for children who require additional support
- Supporting pupils with mild to moderate SEN, including ASD, ADHD and Speech & Language needs
- Encouraging children to develop confidence, independence and positive communication skills
- Creating stimulating learning areas, displays and classroom resources
- Supporting children with routines, transitions, behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and identify areas for further support

Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3) - Candidate Specification
- Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification - CACHE or equivalent
- Previous experience within Nursery, Reception or another Early Years setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
- Confident supporting early Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy
- Creative, enthusiastic and proactive approach to working with young children
- Comfortable working as part of a busy and collaborative Early Years team
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing personality
- Aspiring Primary Teachers are strongly encouraged to apply

Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Working across Nursery and/or Reception
Supporting children aged 3-5 years
Delivering Phonics, Literacy, Numeracy and targeted interventions
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
Full-Time, Term Time Only
ASAP Start
£116 per day
Located in the Borough of Brent
