Summary

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to become part of our Early Years Team on a 6-month contract with a local authority. The role offers a daily rate of £129.62 under an umbrella arrangement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and education in a secure, engaging, and nurturing setting, enabling children to flourish and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a secure, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 5 years.
  • Design, implement, and assess engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth of children.
  • Tailor activities to accommodate the unique needs, interests, and abilities of each child.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document children's progress and accomplishments.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working or volunteering in a nursery, preschool, or early years environment.
  • Experience in supporting children aged 0-5 years.
  • Competence in observing and documenting children's developmental progress.
  • Experience collaborating with parents and caregivers.

Essential Qualifications

  • A recognized and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Qualification (or higher).
  • Substantial experience in an early years setting.
  • A current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Additional Information

  • Working hours are 36 hours per week.
  • Location: Chestnut Grove, Penge, London, SE208PD, United Kingdom.
  • The nursery operates from 8 am to 6 pm, with shifts varying between early, middle, or late to meet nursery needs.
  • A DBS check is required.
  • Payments are processed bi-weekly.
