Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Exeter is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Approach

At Kiddi Caru Matford Green, we follow a blended curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and Hygge philosophy, encouraging creativity, exploration and emotional wellbeing. Our child-led learning supports confidence, independence and a love of discovery.

Our Location

Located at Matford Green Business Park in Exeter, our purpose-built nursery offers easy access to the M5 and major routes, with nearby public transport and on-site parking to make daily drop-offs simple for families.

Our Team

Our experienced and long-standing team are passionate about early years education. Many staff are highly qualified, with strong knowledge and continuity of care, and we provide dedicated SENCo support to ensure every child’s needs are met.

Facilities

Our nursery offers a warm, home-from-home environment with five age-specific playrooms, a sensory room, cosy library and a large outdoor garden. The garden includes a growing area, sandpit and natural play spaces to support outdoor learning and exploration.

Activities

Children enjoy a wide range of enriching activities, including Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, yoga and programmes such as Make and Bake, Sow and Grow, and Move and Groove, supporting development through fun, hands-on learning.

Community Outings

We regularly explore the local area, including nature walks to nearby rivers, helping children build confidence and connect with the outdoors.

Kiddi Caru Matford Green is rated “Good” by Ofsted, reflecting its commitment to providing a safe, nurturing and high-quality learning environment for every child.

What will you be doing?

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
