Pre-School Practitioner

Hours of work: 20 hours per week

Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the salary will be pro rata)

Role Overview

We are seeking to employ a qualified and experienced pre-school practitioner to join our Nursery team. The post will be for a minimum of 20 hours each week with the possibility of some further hours supply cover. The working pattern will be agreed with the successful applicant.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 and ideally to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Previous experience of taking keyworker responsibility will be considered particularly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a commitment to working as part of the team.
  • Have a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Provide an exceptionally enabling environment both indoors and out.
  • Work in close partnership with the Nursery and Reception classes to ensure seamless EYFS provision.
