Salary £26,437-£30,410 per annum FTE (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10am–2pm or 11am-3pm

Our Clerkenwell Mount Day Nursery is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover) to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Facilities
Our Clerkenwell Mount Nursery is a Grade II listed building, converted from two townhouses, offering spacious rooms, a garden, and nutritious meals. Experienced teachers use these spaces to nurture confidence, curiosity, and essential skills.

Location and Travel
Located in the heart of Clerkenwell near Ironmongers' Hall, our nursery is easily accessible for working parents. It’s just a short walk from King's Cross Station, Angel Station, and Farringdon Station, with nearby paid street parking for convenient drop-offs and pick-ups.
What will you be doing
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children
- Assume key carer responsibilities for designated children
- Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Prepare and support children’s activities
- In the absence of the Team/Room Leader maintain effective day-to-day management of the environment
- Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Support and mentor students and un-qualified staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
- Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
