Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your career?

At Busy Bees, we’re looking for a passionate and inspiring Room Leader to join our team at our welcoming nursery in East Malling.

As a Room Leader, you’ll play an important role in leading your team, creating outstanding learning experiences and ensuring every child receives the care, support and encouragement they need to thrive.

Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you’ll provide strong leadership within the nursery, supporting your team to deliver consistently high standards of care, learning and development.

You’ll help create exciting, engaging environments where children can explore, learn and develop their confidence and curiosity.

You’ll also play a key role in bringing our Bee Curious curriculum to life, ensuring educational strategies are embedded throughout the nursery and tailored to the individual needs of every child.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Helping to implement and develop the Bee Curious curriculum.

Our East Malling nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and provides a warm, supportive and environmentally conscious setting for up to 74 children.

We’re passionate about sustainability and actively encourage children to understand the importance of recycling, reusing and reducing food waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
