Early Years Teacher – Preschool Room (10% Performance Bonus!)

Bright Little Stars – Mill Hill NW7 | Full Time, 40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks a year (not term time) | £39,788.32 per annum, including up to 10% yearly performance bonus

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Teacher to join our Mill Hill Nursery, teaching and leading in our Preschool Room, supporting routines and working alongside colleagues to deliver high-quality practice.

The role at a glance

Role: Early Years Teacher (Preschool Room)
Salary: £39,788.32 per annum, including up to 10% yearly performance bonus
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible shifts between 8:00-18:00
Pattern: 50 weeks a year (not term time)
Location: Bright Little Stars, Mill Hill NW7

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, EYFS-aligned teaching and learning in the Preschool Room.
  • Support synthetic phonics and early reading, helping children build the foundations for school readiness.
  • Track children’s developmental progress and plan activities that drive outstanding outcomes.
  • Work alongside the Room Leader and wider team to deliver consistent, high-quality practice.
  • Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates and home learning support.
  • Champion safeguarding, health and safety, and best practice across the room at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS or EYITT qualification (or a willingness to study towards this, having already completed an Early Years honours degree).
  • Experience and confidence leading a team.
  • A good understanding of synthetic phonics and early reading.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team: patient, empathetic, caring and friendly.
