We are now seeking an experienced Third in Charge to join our Leatherhead nursery. This role is an excellent opportunity to step into leadership, supporting both staff and children in a modern, supportive environment.

The Role

As Third In Charge, You Will

  • Support the Centre Director and Deputy in daily operations.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3), ensuring safety and welfare.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities using the TLE LEAP curriculum, tailored to children’s interests and needs.
  • Provide outstanding care and learning experiences for every child.
  • Make referrals to external agencies and regulatory bodies where needed.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help children manage their feelings and development.
  • Build strong relationships with families and promote the nursery to support occupancy growth.

Essential

About You

  • Full & relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Previous experience in an early years setting (Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, or Educator).
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and child protection.
  • Passion for early years education and delivering high-quality childcare.

Desirable

  • Experience stepping up in a leadership role.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and development.
