Nursery Third In Charge in Southfields, London - Family-Run Nursery Group
£35,000 salary
Location: Southfields, London. Nursery is a short walk from Southfields Station
Working pattern: Full-time hours across a 4-day week, giving you 3 days off every week
Our client is a family-run nursery group with a strong reputation for warm, high-quality early years care. They're looking for an experienced Third in Charge to take on the Health & Safety Lead role within their Southfields setting, supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager and stepping up as designated leader in their absence.
This is a genuine opportunity to grow into nursery leadership within a business built around a thoughtfully blended curriculum, combining EYFS, the group's own FIRST Curriculum, and Montessori and Reggio Emilia-inspired learning. The group backs that with real investment in its people too: specialised training, funding towards further qualifications, and mentorship from experienced early years professionals, all within a business that's actively growing and opening new sites. If you're ready to take the next step into leadership somewhere that genuinely supports your development, this is worth a look.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
