About the Role

Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated Trust with Adult Community Nursing Services based in the London borough of City and Hackney.

We require a Band 4 Nursing Associate to work independently under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse/ Clinical Nurse Specialist in order to provide efficient and effective evidence-based nursing care to patients in their own homes.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Associate Nursing practitioner
  • Skills: Excellent clinical, communication, and team working skills
  • Experience: Experience working in a Community Team is desirable

Job Responsibilities

  • Professional Behaviour: Always maintain professional behaviour and attitude and demonstrates excellent customer care skills in line with the Trust Values (Safe, Responsible, Personal, Respectful & Inclusive).
  • Competence: The Nursing Associate will be proficient and competent and work within their scope of practice as governed by the NMC Code (2018) and NMC Standards of Proficiency (2018).
  • Role Model: Act as a role model by upholding and implementing good practice in the workplace, always ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based care.
  • Respect: Act always in a manner, which illustrates respect for privacy, dignity and confidentiality. Provide nursing care that is safe and compassionate.
  • Compliance: Be familiar with, comply and be able to access all Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuous Learning: Maintain responsibility for the identification of own continuing educational needs and development. Reflect on own practice to identify development goals and formulate a Personal Development Plan and take part in annual appraisal.
  • Uniform: Adhere to Trust Uniform Policy.
  • Zero Tolerance: Understand and adhere to Trust Zero Tolerance (Violence and Aggression) policy
  • Diversity: Promote and value the rights and responsibilities and diversity of individuals.
  • Confidentiality: To always ensure confidentiality, only releasing confidential information obtained while employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments
