For this role, we are currently considering candidates who live within approximately 25 miles of the Care Home. This ensures commutes are manageable and support your wellbeing and work-life balance. If you live outside this area but would still find the commute manageable, please get in touch – we are happy to review individual circumstances.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to lead one of our MHA care homes as Home Manager. This is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for clinical excellence, high-quality care delivery and the effective, sustainable management of the home.

As Home Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care that meets their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. You will create a positive, supportive culture for residents, families and colleagues, living out MHA’s values every day.

What you will do

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the home, creating a safe, caring and respectful environment for residents and colleagues.
  • Lead, motivate and develop senior and wider teams through effective recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
  • Work “on the floor” alongside colleagues when required, offering visible clinical leadership, support and guidance.
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred care planning, reviews and admissions in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Maintain clear accountability for medication management, clinical governance, health & safety and infection prevention.
  • Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and involvement in all aspects of their care.
  • Ensure zero tolerance of abuse or neglect and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
  • Manage the home’s financial performance, ensuring budgets are controlled and resources are used effectively.
  • Work closely with your Area Manager, Quality Business Partner and external professionals to drive continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
