Nurse Manager CYP | Surgical | Permanent | Full time | Spire Shawfair Park Hospital, Edinburgh
Spire Shawfair Park is now recruiting a Nurse Manager to lead their CYP Department.
Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is a modern, purpose-built private hospital located in south-east Edinburgh. Duties and responsibilities
- To lead provision of exemplary planned care for patients aged from birth to 16 years
- Lead specialist in all clinical areas providing specialist education and audit.
- To ensure the teams delivery of effective care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.
- Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, security and safeguards the welfare of children and young persons.
- Develop and improve services.
- Improve quality.
- Support and enable equality, diversity, and rights.
- Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practices.
- Delegate work to others.
- Determine the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources.
- Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team.
- Plan, monitor, and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring, and treatment.

Who we're looking for
- Be NMC registered Nurse with a Children’s qualification - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions.
- Experience of working at clinical leadership/management level within a paediatric department.
- Have the ability to create and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Flexibility is essential for this opportunity to support the needs of the growing service covering inpatients and outpatients.
- It would be desirable to have phlebotomy and paediatric ILS, or be willing to complete a university course.
- Ability to plan and prioritize care for patients with good time management skills.
- A surgical background is highly desirable.
- Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
- The ability to manage change enthusiastically whilst assisting to lead, manage, and develop the CYP service.
