Job Overview
Our Endoscopy Unit based at Glangwili General Hospital is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, forward-thinking Nursing Support Worker to join our Endoscopy team.
The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
The Endoscopy unit has a friendly, supportive environment, which is strongly focused on teamwork and patient care. It provides diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services for both inpatients and outpatients. We are currently running 5 days a week. It has two procedure rooms and has JAG accreditation.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Gastroenterology, Respiratory, and Urology, along with administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the lists.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Two integrated care centres (Aberaeron and Cardigan, Ceredigion).
- Community facilities, including:
- 48 General Practices (GP surgeries)
- 49 Dental Practices
- 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists)
- 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services)
- 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services
- Care within your own homes
- Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
