NVH Powertrain Technical Specialist

Every Aston Martin begins with a vision, a vision to create something extraordinary. Something that moves people long before the engine starts and stays with them long after the journey ends.

Behind every unforgettable drive is an engineering team obsessed with perfection. A team that understands that true performance is not just measured in numbers, but in emotion. In the sound of a powertrain under acceleration. In the refinement of a perfectly tuned driveline. In the feeling that every component is working in harmony to create something truly exceptional.

We're searching for an NVH Powertrain Technical Specialist to join that team.

This is not simply another engineering role. It's an opportunity to become one of the technical voices shaping the future of Aston Martin. You'll influence the character, refinement and acoustic signature of the vehicles that define our brand, helping to create the next generation of ultra-luxury high-performance sports cars that will be admired around the world.

Working at the forefront of vehicle development, you'll lead the NVH strategy for powertrain, driveline and transmission systems from concept to production. Your expertise will help answer some of the most challenging engineering questions: how do we make a vehicle feel more refined, more engaging, more exhilarating? How do we create a driving experience that is unmistakably Aston Martin?

We're looking for more than technical excellence. We're looking for a leader - someone who has earned credibility through deep engineering expertise and can use that knowledge to inspire, influence and develop others. While this role does not involve direct people management, it requires proven leadership experience within complex engineering environments, with the confidence to guide technical direction, coach and mentor engineers, challenge thinking, build alignment across multiple stakeholder groups and drive teams towards ambitious objectives. Your ability to lead through expertise, collaboration and influence will be every bit as important as your technical capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You'll collaborate with world-class engineers, technical specialists and vehicle programmes, bringing together advanced simulation, cutting-edge analysis and real-world development to deliver engineering solutions that elevate every aspect of the customer experience. Your influence will extend beyond technical delivery as you shape future best practice, develop engineering capability and establish the standards that future Aston Martin vehicles will be built upon.

We're looking for someone whose knowledge runs deep but whose curiosity runs even deeper. Someone who is energized by complexity, inspired by innovation and motivated by the challenge of creating something that has never existed before. You'll bring exceptional expertise in powertrain NVH development, a strong understanding of vehicle systems and a proven track record of delivering results within demanding automotive environments. Just as importantly, you'll have demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to influence decisions at every level and unite teams behind a shared technical vision.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who refuses to settle for good enough because at Aston Martin, excellence isn't the finish line, it's just the starting point.

This is your chance to work on products that capture imaginations across the globe - to solve engineering challenges that push the boundaries of what's possible, to see your work translated into vehicles that represent the pinnacle of luxury, performance and craftsmanship. Given the strategic nature of this position, regular international travel will be required. You'll represent Aston Martin within a global network of suppliers, partners and technical specialists, building strong relationships, influencing key engineering decisions and driving programme success across multiple locations.
